在英語中，“幾月幾日”要先說“月”再說“日”，其中“日”通常要用序數詞，書寫時序數詞前面可出現“the”也可以不出現，但讀時，“the”必須讀出來。并且月份前通常不加冠詞，書寫月份名詞時總是大寫首字母。如：“八月十三日”應寫為“August thirteenth”。
“幾月幾日”還可以用“幾月的第幾天”表示。如：“八月十三日”還可寫為“the thirteenth day of August”。
另外，書寫“幾月幾日”時“日”也可直接用基數詞表示，但閱讀時仍要讀作序數詞。如：“August 13（th）”讀作：“August the thirteenth”。
