韓薇：助力中國(guó)企業(yè)出海，國(guó)際視野幫她在職場(chǎng)開疆拓土

10月，剛剛?cè)肼毠雀璞本﹥蓚�(gè)月的韓薇，已經(jīng)跟手頭上幾位頭部互聯(lián)網(wǎng)企業(yè)客戶做完了上一季度的復(fù)盤，正積極投入到下一季度的業(yè)務(wù)計(jì)劃中。她戲謔自己是一個(gè)閑不住的主，這種在每個(gè)時(shí)期都秉持著積極努力的優(yōu)質(zhì)慣性，若追根溯源，母校寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)對(duì)韓薇影響最為深遠(yuǎn)。

寧諾拓展了她的國(guó)際視野

2014年高考結(jié)束后，分?jǐn)?shù)高出一本線不少的韓薇義無反顧地選擇了寧諾的國(guó)際傳播學(xué)。

“每個(gè)人都會(huì)有一個(gè)執(zhí)著的夢(mèng)想，當(dāng)初我想出去看看，擴(kuò)展自己的認(rèn)知和視野�！�

韓薇說，那時(shí)的綜合考慮，她覺得寧諾是解鎖這個(gè)夢(mèng)想的最適合鑰匙，事實(shí)證明，她的抉擇是正確的。

寧諾采用了英國(guó)諾丁漢大學(xué)教學(xué)質(zhì)量保障體系、共享英國(guó)諾丁漢大學(xué)網(wǎng)絡(luò)和教學(xué)資源。入學(xué)后，韓薇真正感受到了英式教學(xué)的模式，在寧諾的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷，為她日后求學(xué)、工作打下了扎實(shí)的語言基礎(chǔ)，更是全面鍛煉了她的個(gè)人能力。

韓薇大三時(shí)，作為交換生求學(xué)英國(guó)諾丁漢大學(xué)，進(jìn)一步拓展了她國(guó)際化視野，“既然有了廣闊的平臺(tái)，自己更加要努力，無論是學(xué)業(yè)還是實(shí)習(xí)都是對(duì)自己最好的提升。”韓薇說。

寧諾校友會(huì)是像燈塔一樣的存在

“申研時(shí)，在幾個(gè)offer面前，我選擇了英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)學(xué)院。初到異國(guó)他鄉(xiāng)，肯定比較懵，而寧諾在英國(guó)的校友會(huì)真的對(duì)我?guī)椭�挺大�！表n薇說，這些學(xué)長(zhǎng)學(xué)姐一般都已經(jīng)在英國(guó)工作若干年了，他們會(huì)以自身的求職經(jīng)歷和心得給學(xué)弟學(xué)妹們做參考。韓薇也正是受到校友會(huì)一位學(xué)姐經(jīng)歷的啟發(fā)，開始考慮跨專業(yè)求職 。

韓薇就讀的專業(yè)中，不少畢業(yè)學(xué)子會(huì)去國(guó)內(nèi)媒體單位或大型企劃類公司，但有個(gè)跟韓薇就讀相關(guān)專業(yè)的學(xué)姐，她建議韓薇無須局限于�？票尘肮�司，可以嘗試跨界找工作。

最后也是學(xué)姐的推薦，韓薇進(jìn)入了英國(guó)美妝電商獨(dú)角獸公司The Hut Group。通過自己的努力，韓薇還未畢業(yè)便開始了她的職業(yè)生涯。

任何時(shí)候都需懷揣執(zhí)著之心

一個(gè)文科背景出身的學(xué)生，在英國(guó)的電商企業(yè)工作，似乎每個(gè)關(guān)鍵詞都不太搭，可是只要你夠努力，一切也沒這么困難。

韓薇說，初入公司，只有自己的母語是中文，其他同組同事的母語都是英文，看上去起跑線就矮了一截，但她從不灰心，認(rèn)真做好手頭的工作，“以前在寧諾學(xué)習(xí)過多種數(shù)據(jù)分析工具，國(guó)際傳播專業(yè)要求學(xué)生大量閱讀，這為我學(xué)習(xí)和分析新事物的能力打下基礎(chǔ)。國(guó)際化的學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境，也幫助我很快融入了跨文化的工作氛圍。”韓薇迅速適應(yīng)了海外電商的工作節(jié)奏。

機(jī)會(huì)一直青睞有準(zhǔn)備的人。每周一的工作會(huì)議上，都需要提交一份回顧報(bào)表，是熟悉公司業(yè)務(wù)的好機(jī)會(huì)，于是，韓薇主動(dòng)攬下了這份制表，“壓力肯定有，但我之前已經(jīng)看過了其他人的制圖案例，而且對(duì)公司的業(yè)務(wù)也有所了解，所以有備而戰(zhàn)也還可以！”韓薇調(diào)皮地回憶道。當(dāng)然，2年后，她成了他們之中最快升職的人員，她的銷售業(yè)績(jī)也讓公司領(lǐng)導(dǎo)十分贊許。

就在一路順風(fēng)順?biāo)畷r(shí)，韓薇卻決定回國(guó)了。帶著想為祖國(guó)事業(yè)而努力的熱忱，和在國(guó)際舞臺(tái)學(xué)習(xí)工作的經(jīng)歷，果不其然，韓薇回國(guó)投了幾份簡(jiǎn)歷，都拋來了橄欖枝。她最終選擇了谷歌，入職谷歌的國(guó)際拓展客戶經(jīng)理，負(fù)責(zé)國(guó)內(nèi)頭部互聯(lián)網(wǎng)企業(yè)的出海業(yè)務(wù)。

為何選這份職業(yè)呢？她說，自己還有點(diǎn)小小的英雄主義情結(jié)，希望通過自己的努力，把國(guó)內(nèi)的好產(chǎn)品推廣全球，為中國(guó)的優(yōu)質(zhì)企業(yè)貢獻(xiàn)一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的力量。

From UNNC to Google - Wei Han’s journey to success

Having joined Google for two months, Wei Han, an alumna of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), has actively engaged in the business plan for the last quarter of the year. Wei jokes that she’s not someone who likes to be idle, and always maintains a positive attitude in every task. This hard-working mentality stems from her time at UNNC.

After Gaokao, Wei chose to take International Communications at UNNC, considering it a key to unlocking her dream of broadening her sight. The undergraduate experience was just as she thought - UNNC allowed her to receive a British-style education, giving her a solid foundation for study and work abroad in the future.

In Year three, Wei studied abroad in UoN as an exchange student, which broadened her international vision. “Whether it was through academia or internships, I had plenty of ways to further improve myself,” she said.

In Wei’s choice of her further study and career, alumni connections helped her navigate her path - senior alumni would share their job-hunting experiences in the UK with the new students. “When I first arrived in the UK, it took me a while to fit in, but the UNNC alumni in the UK really helped me out a lot”, she said. Following their advice, she looked for work beyond her own degree, and ultimately found a job at The Hut Group, a British beauty e-commerce company.

When Wei entered the company, she was the only non-native English speaker, but she was never discouraged. “I learned a variety of data analysis tools while studying at UNNC, and the course International Communications requires students to do massive reading, which lays a foundation for my ability to learn and analyse new things. The international learning environment also helped me integrate into the cross-cultural working atmosphere,” she quickly strived to adapt to the overseas working style.

Opportunities always favour the prepared mind. Wei recalls when she first joined her company, she took the initiative over the weekly report writing proactively - “there was a lot of pressure at first. But after observing other cases and getting familiar with the company rules, I found I was confident enough to get the job done!” Within two years, she became the fastest promoted employee among her batch, with her sales performance commended by the company.

Wei eventually decided to return to China and take on the role of international account manager at Google, responsible for the overseas business of leading domestic internet companies. She hopes to promote Chinese products through this position and make her own contribution to the development of China’s enterprises on the global stage.
