6月1日起，寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)副校長崔平校長正式出任甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任一職，帶領(lǐng)實(shí)驗(yàn)室攻關(guān)國際前沿戰(zhàn)略新技術(shù)、突破我國卡脖子核心技術(shù)、融合貫通浙江省創(chuàng)新產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈、引領(lǐng)產(chǎn)業(yè)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展等展現(xiàn)寧波責(zé)任與擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)目萍歼M(jìn)程。

寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)執(zhí)行校長尼克·邁爾斯教授向崔平表達(dá)祝賀：

崔平教授為寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)做出了杰出的貢獻(xiàn)，我向她表示深深的感謝。我很高興她將接受政府任命，擔(dān)任寧波甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任。同時，她將保留寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)副校長職務(wù)，繼續(xù)在政府關(guān)系和創(chuàng)新拓展領(lǐng)域主持工作。

2017年，崔平加入寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)，負(fù)責(zé)學(xué)校區(qū)域計(jì)劃、創(chuàng)新和發(fā)展，同時作為李達(dá)三材料科學(xué)首席教授，引領(lǐng)該領(lǐng)域教學(xué)和科研的提升和突破。

四年來，崔平帶領(lǐng)團(tuán)隊(duì)充分發(fā)揮寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)全球資源優(yōu)勢，緊緊圍繞地方戰(zhàn)略需求，提升學(xué)校科研和社會服務(wù)能力，在成果轉(zhuǎn)化、創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)、人才培育、企業(yè)孵化等領(lǐng)域推動寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)邁步發(fā)展，使其國內(nèi)外的聲譽(yù)和影響力與日俱增。

前幾日，諾丁漢大學(xué)卓越燈塔計(jì)劃（寧波）創(chuàng)新研究院入駐高新區(qū)。作為研究院的創(chuàng)始人之一，崔平推動并見證了它從0到1的歷程，并致力于將它打造成為寧波撬動全球科技創(chuàng)新資源的一個支點(diǎn)。

崔平說，“我為自己在寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)工作期間所取得的成績感到非常自豪，特別是諾丁漢大學(xué)卓越燈塔計(jì)劃（寧波）創(chuàng)新研究院的成立與起步。雖然有了新的使命，但我始終是寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)的一員。”

即將履新，她也表示，“甬江實(shí)驗(yàn)室是寧波歷史上投資規(guī)模最大的一項(xiàng)栽樹工程，我深感責(zé)任重大、任務(wù)艱巨、使命非凡�！�

未來，崔平將繼續(xù)以寧波諾丁漢大學(xué)副校長的身份，關(guān)心和支持學(xué)校發(fā)展，推進(jìn)學(xué)校與地方的深度交融，促進(jìn)更多科研成果落地，服務(wù)本土產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展。

Professor Ping Cui takes on new role as Director of Ningbo Yongjiang Laboratory

1 June: Professor Ping Cui, Associate Provost of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), has officially taken on the role of Director at Ningbo Yongjiang Laboratory, leading the laboratory to work on international cutting-edge technologies, integrating innovative industry chains in Zhejiang, and pushing forward high-quality development of local industries.

"I would like to express my deep gratitude to Professor Cui for her outstanding contributions to UNNC,” said Professor Nick Miles, UNNC Provost. “I am pleased that she is taking up the government appointment as the Director of Ningbo Yongjiang Laboratory. She will retain her position at UNNC, supporting and building strategic relations with government."

In 2017, Professor Cui joined UNNC as the Associate Provost, responsible for University’s research and knowledge exchange, strategic planning, innovation and development. She also serves as Li Dak Sum Chair Professor in Advanced Materials, leading education and research innovation in that area.

Over the past four years, Professor Cui has dedicated herself to improving the scientific research and social service capabilities of UNNC, based on its global resource advantages, focusing on local strategic demands. She and her team have successfully built on University’s reputation and enhanced the influence of UNNC at home and abroad by promoting technology transfer, entrepreneurship, talent cultivation, and business incubation.

Last week, the launch ceremony for the Nottingham Ningbo China Beacons of Excellence Research and Innovation Institute was held in the Ningbo National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. As one of the founders, Professor Cui has promoted and witnessed its development and is committed to constructing it as a bridge to connect local and international industrial, scientific and technological resources.

“I am very proud of the achievements I have made at UNNC, especially the establishment of the China Beacons Institute.”

Looking forward to her new role, Professor Cui said: "Yongjiang Laboratory is the largest talent cultivation project in Ningbo. I feel a deep sense of responsibility. Despite this new mission, I will always be a member of UNNC."

In the future, Professor Cui will retain her position as Associate Provost at UNNC, supporting strategic development of the University and promoting integration of University research and local industry development.
