not…until是一個短語，用來表示某事將不會發(fā)生，直到一個特定的時間或事件。not…until通常與非延續(xù)性動詞連用，當(dāng)其位于句首時，句子要倒裝。
not…until的用法有哪些not until的倒裝與強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)，not until通常與非延續(xù)性動詞連用，強(qiáng)調(diào)主句所表示的狀態(tài)或情景從until所表示的時間才發(fā)生，主句必須是否定句。
1、當(dāng)Not until位于句首時，句子要倒裝。其結(jié)構(gòu)為：Not until+從句/表時間的詞+助動詞+（主句）主語+謂語。
Not until the teacher came in did the students stop talking.
直到老師進(jìn)來學(xué)生們才停止講話。
2、not until的強(qiáng)調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)為：It is/was not until+從句/表時間的詞+that。
It was not until the teacher came in that the students stopped talking.
直到老師進(jìn)來了，學(xué)生們才停止了說話。
not until的例句1、Not until I began to work did I realize how much time I had wasted.
直到我開始工作,我才認(rèn)識到了我已蹉跎了幾多歲月.
2、It was not until five o'clock in the afternoon that they finished their work. 直到下午五點他們才完成工作。
3、It was not until after Friday that I got his reply.
直到星期五之后，我才得到他的答復(fù)。
4、It was not until he got sick seriously that he realized the value of a healthy body. 直到他生重病，他才意識到一個健康體魄的價值。
