我是來自溫州肯恩大學(xué)的張凱翕。

How time flies! Unconsciously, 2021 has quietly come to an end, and our Alma Mater hasthe special 10thanniversary of the establishment of the school.

時(shí)光如梭，歲月如流，轉(zhuǎn)眼間，2021年已經(jīng)悄悄臨近尾聲，我們的母校也迎來了她具有特殊意義的建校十周年。

WKU’s birth is a treasured memory. In May 2006, Wenzhou University and Kean University held the Signing Ceremony of establishing the Cooperation Project Wenzhou-Kean University in the Union County of New Jersey. Xi Jinping, then-Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, attended the signing ceremony,and delivered a keynote speech.

The event took place in May,when it was cold in New Jersey and the peony on the campus of Kean University was not yet opening. However, the signing was a big event for Kean University. In order to make the campus with a better look to welcome guests, then-President of Kean University, Dr. Dawood Farahi，actually used a hair dryer to many peony on campus, hoping that they can bloom earlier.

溫肯的誕生是一份值得珍藏的回憶。2006年5月，溫州大學(xué)與美國(guó)肯恩大學(xué)在美國(guó)新澤西州尤寧郡舉行合作創(chuàng)辦溫州肯恩大學(xué)簽約儀式。時(shí)任浙江省委書記習(xí)近平出席簽約儀式并作出了重要講話。

簽約時(shí)正值五月，美國(guó)的新澤西州有些寒冷，美國(guó)肯恩大學(xué)校園內(nèi)的牡丹還未開放。然而簽約對(duì)于美國(guó)肯恩大學(xué)來說是一件重要的事，為了讓校園以更加好的面貌迎接遠(yuǎn)道而來的客人，時(shí)任美國(guó)肯恩大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)達(dá)伍德·法拉希拿著電吹風(fēng)吹向校園內(nèi)的一朵朵牡丹花，希望它們能早些開花。

On that day, some peony bloomed on campus, bright red, it seemed particularly festive for the signing ceremony, and also for the birth of the Wenzhou-Kean University.

簽約當(dāng)天，校園里的一些牡丹花盛開了，紅艷艷的，特別喜慶，為簽約儀式帶來了亮麗的色彩，溫州肯恩大學(xué)也就此誕生。

For ten years, we have been studying and growing on campus. Now, let’s listen to what everyone wants to say to the school on the 10th anniversary!

Q1：Can you tell us the most impressive memory WKU left you?

能說說溫肯留給您最深的記憶嗎？

I was just talking to a colleague the other day about how we get to as foreigners, live relatively normal lives here on campus.If we go out into the city, not many people are necessarily going to be able to speak English, but here, almost everybody is. And so it's kind of cool.

前幾天我和一個(gè)同事聊了聊我們作為外國(guó)人，是如何在校園里過生活的。如果我們走到城市里，不一定有很多人會(huì)說英語，但在這里幾乎每個(gè)人都會(huì)，我感覺這很酷。

Q2:What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

對(duì)溫肯未來的期許是什么？

When I first started here, I remember somebody told me that this campus is a place that someone can develop professionally and have a career. And so, I hope that continues to be more and more true that I have more colleagues,that I think of this place as a career company, and that we stay,working here in the long term, so that we can look back and feel like part of the beginning of something very special.

當(dāng)我剛來這里的時(shí)候，我記得有人告訴我，這個(gè)校園是一個(gè)人可以專業(yè)的發(fā)展事業(yè)的地方。所以，我希望和越來越多的同事一起在這里長(zhǎng)期工作。

Q1:Can you tell us the most impressive memory WKU left you?

能說說溫肯留給您最深的記憶嗎？

This is my fifth year working at WKU. What impresses me most is that some of the students are quite hard-working and quite intelligent. It's fun to work with them!

這是我在WKU工作的第五年。讓我印象最深刻的是, 學(xué)生很勤奮，也很聰明。和他們一起工作十分有趣!

Q2:What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

對(duì)溫肯未來的期許是什么？

Well, I wish the school expands and creates more students. And more programs are available. That is what I hope. So, the school will be successful in the future.

我希望這個(gè)學(xué)�？梢栽絹碓綇�(qiáng)大，培養(yǎng)越來越多優(yōu)秀學(xué)子，并且可以有更多的項(xiàng)目，這是我想祝福的話。相信溫肯未來會(huì)越來越成功。

Q1:Can you tell us the most impressive memory WKU left you?

能說說溫肯留給您最深的記憶嗎？

So this is my fifth year at WKU. What impressed me most would be the students. Because when we think about them, maybe not really creative or open mind thinking. Actually they are super creative, super well rounded. In fact, if we notice. So this is the thing that impressed me most.

這是我在溫肯的第五個(gè)年頭了。給我印象最深的是溫肯的學(xué)生們。剛開始會(huì)擔(dān)心他們也許并不是很有創(chuàng)造力或者思維不夠開闊。但事實(shí)上，如果我們留意的話，學(xué)生們非常有創(chuàng)意，非常全面。這是我印象最深的事。

Q2:What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

對(duì)溫肯未來期許是什么？

I wish the WKU to grow and flourish, have excellent students, have a lot of students that are willing to do research. And the students who would go and conquer the world. I really want WKU to be proud of our students. Wherever they go, they should remember that WKU is their Alma Mater.

我祝愿溫肯蓬勃發(fā)展，培養(yǎng)出更多優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生，愿意做研究的學(xué)生。希望學(xué)生可以走向世界，征服世界。我真誠(chéng)希望學(xué)校能以我們的學(xué)生為驕傲。無論他們?nèi)ツ睦�，他們都記得溫肯是他們的母�！?/p>

Q1：What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

Send you the wind of March, the rain of June, the scenery of September, and make the heavy snow as your wedding dress. I wish Wenzhou-Kean University a happy 10th anniversary, and the school is getting more and more beautiful.

Q1：What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

對(duì)溫肯未來的期許是什么？

I hope that WKU can be better and better, and more and more outstanding students can join the big family.

The lyrics of the song I want to share most is a sentence in Weiqi Fan's “The First Dream",“The first dream is firmly in your hands."

希望溫肯可以越辦越好，越來越多優(yōu)秀的同學(xué)都可以加入溫肯這個(gè)大家庭。

Q1：What are your expectation for the future of WKU?

對(duì)溫肯未來的期許是什么？

I hope that WKU will be better and better in the future, flourish, and cultivate generations of outstanding students. I hope that WKU will be better in the next ten years.

I want to share the lyrics of "The brightest star in the night sky" to WKU, hoping that WKU can shine like a star and illuminate students their way forward.

希望溫肯未來可以越來越好，蒸蒸日上，培養(yǎng)出一代代優(yōu)秀學(xué)生，期待下一個(gè)溫肯十年可以更優(yōu)秀。

我想把“夜空中最亮的星”這句歌詞送給溫肯，希望溫肯可以像一顆星星一樣閃耀，幫助學(xué)生照亮他們前行的道路。

I hope WKU will foster more and more excellent students, and I am honor to be a member of WKUers.I hope that every turn of ten anniversary of WKU 's future will be able to create more brilliant results.
